These patterns are experiencing exponential growth and creating incredible opportunities for financiers. 5G Devices Our brand-new 5G (fifth-generation) cordless networks are a topic I've been covering for years now.
Even though the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted supply chains in 2015, an impressive 250 million 5G-enabled gadgets were still offered. Especially in the 2nd quarter, there were supply chain disruptions, producing hold-ups, and work blockages. And all of this ultimately caused Apple postponing the release of the 5G-enabled i, Phone 12 by 2 months.
And that need is now going to be pushed into 2021. I anticipate that more than 500 million 5G devices will be delivered in 2021.
Phase 3 of 5G When I've talked about 5G in the past, I have actually described its three different stages. In Phase One, the infrastructure of these brand-new networks is constructed out, including all the new towers and fiber-optic circuitry that 5G will need. In Phase 2, 5G gadgets go on sale.
